Sunnyvale

Sunnyvale is one of Northern California’s largest cities by population size and home to many high-tech companies. It is also home to multiple aerospace and defense companies, most notably Moffett Field.

Sunnyvale began as a farming community in the early 1800s. Following World War II, its fruit development facilities were replaced with urban, industrial, and commercial developments.

The southern half of Sunnyvale is predominantly residential, while the northern portion is zoned for industrial use. Sunnyvale includes many parks, including a large community garden. Schools are within the Sunnyvale School District, Cupertino Union School District, and Santa Clara Unified School District.
