Los Gatos is an affluent town in the southwest foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. While it has a lively downtown full of shops, restaurants, and offices, much of Los Gatos is suburban with several notable schools. While it is on the southern end of Silicon Valley, it is still the home of several high-tech companies—most notably the streaming and content creator Netflix.

Like most of Santa Clara County, Los Gatos started out as an agrarian town. It was also involved in the logging industry and railway transportation between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. These early pursuits led to the buildup of its Downtown area, which maintains many restored Victorian-era homes and commercial buildings.

Today, Los Gatos is a thriving community that hosts a number of local events and activities. It includes large recreational spaces for daily use by residents and visitors alike. Los Gatos is close to multiple major highways and offers small town charm within access to major city hubs.

Los Gatos Creek Trail

The Los Gatos Creek Trail offers recreational opportunities for walkers, joggers, bicyclists, skaters, non-motorized scooters and nature lovers. The trail passes through multi-jurisdictions and is operated by the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara Park Department, City of Campbell, and City of San Jose.

La Rinconada Park

A 14-acre park tucked away in the far Northwest corner of Los Gatos, La Rinconada Park is a forested creekside park of natural vegetation with a half-mile trail meandering along a creek. Other recreational features include an unlit tennis court/pickleball court, large lawn areas, picnic tables with BBQ pits, one group picnic area and a playground.

Blossom Hill Park

+ More— Located between Shannon Road and Blossom Hill Road east of Blossom Hill School, Blossom Hill Park is a drawing point for sports fans as well as for family picnics. It has six lighted tennis courts, a baseball field, playground area, picnic tables, one reservable group picnic area, BBQ pits, large lawn areas and restroom facilities. Parking is available on both the Shannon Road and Blossom Hill Road side.
